A PSA 10 of the 2002 Expedition Mew holo #19 sold for $528,000 at Fanatics Collect on Nov. 1. PSA has only ever graded 27 copies of the card a 10.
Wizards of the Coast released it in September 2002 as the first Pokémon set built for the Nintendo e-Reader, the Game Boy Advance add-on, with a strip of dot code along the bottom of every card that the device read to play sounds and show patterns. These cards were built to be slid through a gadget. That's a funny thing to do to a card that now sells for half a million dollars.
The PSA 9 trades more often with three sales in November already, the last for $15,100. Expedition's non-holo Mew #55 sold for $530 in a PSA 9 on Nov. 2 if you're looking to snag a piece of history.
