What CardWire is

CardWire reports on the market for trading cards: what moved, why, and what is coming that could move prices next. It is journalism, opinion, and market analysis. It is not investment advice, financial advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell anything. CardWire is not a broker, a dealer, a marketplace, or an adviser.

Market calls are opinion

The Buy, Sell and Hold calls on the site are the editorial desk's opinions, published with the reasoning behind them. They are not advice to you. A call being scored right or wrong does not change that. Any decision to buy, sell or hold a card is yours.

Prices and market data

We print prices from named sources, such as completed sales and live bids at auction venues. We do not warrant that any price, count, date or chart is accurate, current or complete. We are not liable for a decision made on one.

Links to other sites

CardWire links to auction houses, marketplaces and other sites so you can act on what you read. We hold no part of any transaction you make there. Their terms and policies apply once you arrive. A link is not an endorsement of the site, the seller, or the lot.

Our content

The articles, wire posts, charts, calls and design of CardWire belong to CardWire LLC or are used with permission. You may read them, link to them, and quote short passages with attribution. You may not republish whole pieces, scrape the site, or use the content to train a model or build a competing product without written permission.

Photographs of cards and lots are credited to their sources, which include auction listings and grading companies. If you own a photograph we have used and object to its use, email jeff@cardwire.com and we will take it down.

Using the site

You may not interfere with the site, probe it for weaknesses, send automated traffic beyond ordinary reading, or use it for anything unlawful.

The CardWire newsletter

Subscribing gives us your email address, which we handle as the Privacy Policy describes. Every email carries an unsubscribe link. We may stop the newsletter or change its schedule at any time.

No warranty

CardWire is provided as it is and as it is available. We make no warranty that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any purpose. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim every implied warranty.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, CardWire LLC and the people who write for it are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site or your reliance on anything published on it, including any loss on a card you bought, sold or held. If liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to one hundred US dollars.

Governing law and disputes

These terms, and any dispute arising from them or from your use of CardWire, are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any dispute is resolved by binding arbitration in Miami-Dade County, Florida, on an individual basis, and not in court or as part of a class action. Either side may still ask a court for an injunction to protect intellectual property.

Changes

If this policy changes, newsletter subscribers will be notified via email and the date of this document will be updated to reflect the new policy.
