What we do
- Correction
A fact in a story was wrong.
Where the note goes: At the end of the story. It moves to the top when the error changed the headline or the main point.
We don't add a note for typos or style edits. When we fix a story, we also fix any wire item with the same error.
When a price is wrong
If we publish a wrong price, we fix it in every story that cites it. The note shows the old number, the new number, and the date of the fix.
When we remove a story
We'd rather fix a story than pull it, and we only take one down for a legal or safety reason. If a photo or video we ran is yours, email editor@cardwire.com and we'll take it down within one business day.
