Tom Brady's Bowman Rookies Fell This Fall, but His Upper Deck Victory Didn't
Brady rips 2000 Bowman Chrome live from his house Monday, and his raw 2000 Upper Deck Victory rookie has climbed since July.
Tom Brady is ripping 2000 Bowman Chrome live from his house Monday at 4 p.m. ET, chasing his own rookie on a stream CardVault by Tom Brady announced on Instagram with more than $10,000 in prizes. PSA 9s of his 2000 Bowman Chrome and paper 2000 Bowman rookies sold for thousands this summer and have spent the fall coming back down, with the paper Bowman PSA 9 falling from near $7,900 in July to around $4,875 this month.
I don't think those are the Brady cards most people watching Monday will be shopping for. I think most of them are working with a few hundred dollars, not a few thousand, and in Brady rookies that buys you a raw 2000 Upper Deck Victory or a PSA 9 of his 2000 Skybox Impact.
Neither of those gave back its summer, and both have sold for more this month than they did in July, the raw Upper Deck Victory on 14 sales. Since July, the paper Bowman PSA 9 has lost about $3,000. The raw Upper Deck Victory has gained $18.
The case for buying before Monday is that this time Brady is on the stream himself, and a viewer who wants in can buy a $400 rookie before the stream ends. But the cheap rookies aren't on sale, because they're already selling for more than they did in July.
I'd let Monday happen first and bid around $350 on a raw Upper Deck Victory after the rip, where three of its last four eBay sales landed. If the stream pushes it past $400, somebody else can pay for Brady's afternoon.
