Sell Your DeForest Buckner Cards While the 49ers Reunion Has Collectors Looking
His Prizm Silver rookie sold for $1 the night before San Francisco brought him back, the same $1 to $4 it has sold for since May 2025.
The 49ers sent a 2027 fourth-round pick to the Colts on Tuesday to bring back DeForest Buckner, the defensive tackle they drafted No. 7 overall in 2016 and traded to Indianapolis in March 2020 for the pick that became Javon Kinlaw.
Collectors were already circling his name before the deal, with sales of Buckner cards climbing from five to eight a day over the three days before the trade, and a reunion story in San Francisco is the biggest audience his cards will get this season.
More eyes haven't meant higher prices. His 2016 Panini Prizm Silver #203 rookie has sold for $1 to $4 raw across 12 sales since May 2025, right where his new teammate Nick Bosa's 2019 Prizm #311 rookie sells raw.
Grading won't rescue it either. With PSA's Value tiers paused, the cheapest way in is Standard at $60 a card, and the only PSA 10 Silver sale we found since 2020 went for $250 in June 2022, with no PSA 10 listed on eBay today. Joey Bosa's 2016 Prizm Silver from the same draft class sold for $32 in a PSA 10 on July 15.
The one Buckner card with real money in it is his 2016 Contenders Rookie Ticket Auto #134, which sold for $120 on May 9. With Buckner 32 and headed for free agency after the season, I'd list that auto this week while the reunion is fresh and sell the raw Silvers as a lot instead of paying $60 to slab one.
