Luzardo's rookie cards take an injury hit on the Phillies' IL

The Phillies placed Jesús Luzardo on the 15-day injured list Tuesday with left shoulder inflammation. He was scratched from Saturday's start against the Braves, with the stint retroactive to Saturday.

A Saturday MRI showed no serious issues. Luzardo is 14-5 with a 2.87 ERA and a career-high 221 strikeouts, second in the National League, in his first All-Star season.

The Phillies hold the second National League wild card and recalled right-hander Grant Holman to fill the roster spot.
