Citron and Iriafen's rookie cards get a playoff milestone

The Washington Mystics clinched a playoff spot, the youngest team to reach the WNBA postseason. Sonia Citron and Kiki Iriafen, both 2025 first-round picks, made the All-Star team in their second season.

The berth caps two seasons of a rebuild that started when the franchise fired general manager Mike Thibault and coach Eric Thibault before 2025. President Michael Winger built the roster through six first-round picks over two drafts.

Washington's defense ranked third in the league this year, up from ninth.
