Verlander's rookies get a farewell start to sell into

Justin Verlander's 2005 Bowman Chrome #331 rookie autograph in PSA 10 sold twice on September 9, at $1,132.07 USD and $1,041.89 USD. He is working back from a pulled hamstring toward one last start in the Tigers' final regular-season series.

Detroit plans the send-off inside that series against Pittsburgh. He announced his retirement in July, shortly after being named to the All-Star team.

His only start this season came March 30, five runs in under four innings against Arizona, before hip inflammation and then the hamstring. Verlander is 43, with 266 wins, 3,554 strikeouts and three Cy Young Awards over 21 seasons.
