REA's Summer Catalog Auction closed over $18M USD. The headline lot was a 1952 Topps "brick", eight factory-sealed five-cent wax packs still in their cellophane wrap.
The packs surfaced in a Seattle grocery-store find in the 1990s.
The Take
Let's see if the buyer decides to hold the sealed as an investment, or take one of the most expensive gambles the hobby has ever seen.
