Tonight's PSA 2 Jordan Fleer Rookie Is Bidding Near PSA 3 Money

Forty-eight bids had taken a 1986-87 Fleer Michael Jordan rookie in a PSA 2 to $5,400 by midday Friday, ahead of its 5:18 p.m. ET close on eBay.

A year ago, a PSA 2 cost about half that, with sales running $2,651 to $3,800 last October and November. This month nothing has sold below $4,920.

Tonight's bid sits in the lower half of this month's sales, near the $5,151 a PSA 2 sold for at Goldin on Thursday night. But the next grade up is close. A PSA 3 sold for $6,000 on eBay this week.

Collectors who just want Jordan's Fleer rookie in a slab are getting a fair price at $5,400. If I were bidding, I'd stop at $5,500 because half of this month's PSA 2 sales came in under that. Past it, the money is better spent on a PSA 3.

Bid on the rest of tonight's closings from CardWire's auctions page.
