Lorcana's First Enchanted Mickey Has Held Above $1,000 Since June
Hyperia City, the Disney Lorcana set that adds Pixar's Coco, reaches stores Oct. 23 with a PSA 10 of the first set's Enchanted Mickey selling for $1,650 on Oct. 7 against around $430 a year ago.
Enchanted cards, the full-art foil versions of regular cards, were the rarest pulls in The First Chapter, Lorcana's 2023 debut set. Mickey Mouse, Wayward Sorcerer #208 is one of them.
The climb hasn't been steady. PSA 10s sold for as much as $2,695 in late June and have sold between $1,000 and $1,650 since. But no copy has sold for less than $1,000 since then.
More than half the copies PSA grades come back a 10. As of Oct. 19, PSA had graded 2,315 copies and given 1,307 of them a 10. The same card in PSA 9 sold for $305 on Sept. 6, against around $170 last December.
For a collector who pulled the Mickey in 2023 and kept it raw, those prices make grading worth it.
Hyperia City brings Miguel, Héctor, and Pepita from Coco into the game. It went on sale at Disney Springs on Oct. 16 and reaches stores everywhere on Oct. 23.
I'd buy a PSA 10 under $1,500 before the holidays. If you're patient you might get a chance to get one closer to $1000 after Hyperia City launches.
