Collectors Still Haven't Forgiven Drake Maye for the Super Bowl
Collectors have paid less for his PSA 10 Prizm rookie every month since the Patriots lost the Super Bowl, heading into Thursday night's game in Chicago.
A PSA 10 of Drake Maye's 2024 Prizm rookie sold for $128 on eBay on Oct. 21 ahead of Thursday night's game against the Bears. In January, with New England on its way to the Super Bowl, the same slab was going for around $300.
Collectors had good reason to pay up. Maye led the NFL with a 113.5 passer rating as the Patriots went 14-3 and won the AFC East. He finished second to Matthew Stafford in MVP voting, 23 first-place votes to Stafford's 24.
His PSA 10 has sold for less in every month since Seattle sacked him six times in a 29-13 Super Bowl loss on Feb. 8. But Maye looks like the same quarterback this fall, with 11 total touchdowns and one interception in New England's three straight wins. The Patriots are 4-2 heading into Chicago.
Anyone who bought a PSA 10 in January is down around $170 on it. In our list of the 10 best football cards to buy right now, I said I'd buy one under $140. At $130, I still would before kickoff.
The card went from around $84 in October 2025 to around $300 in January as the wins piled up. If Thursday goes badly, I'd wait a week and bid lower, because it sold for less than $130 as recently as November 2025.
