Kimi Antonelli's $878,400 Rookie Auto Is F1's Second-Biggest Card Sale
His base Topps Chrome rookie has been climbing all season as he heads to Austin with a chance to clinch the title.
A 2025 Topps Chrome F1 SuperFractor autograph of Kimi Antonelli, the only copy Topps made, sold for $878,400 at Goldin on Saturday, Oct. 17, after 34 bids. Among F1 cards, only a 2020 Topps Chrome Lewis Hamilton SuperFractor has sold for more, according to Card Ladder.
The 20-year-old Mercedes driver has won eight Grands Prix since his first in China in March and leads the championship by 102 points with six races left.
Three more Antonelli cards topped $100,000 at Goldin the same night, led by a 1-of-1 Topps Dynasty patch autograph at $219,600. Before Saturday, the most anyone had paid at Goldin for an Antonelli card was $360,510 for a Red Refractor of his base Chrome rookie, numbered to five, in September.
His base Topps Chrome rookie, #8, is the Antonelli card collectors buy most. Raw copies have sold more than 100 times in the last month and go for more than triple their price before his first win. A PSA 10 sold for $430 in March and goes for around $700 this month.
We'd buy a PSA 10 around $700 before Sunday's U.S. Grand Prix in Austin. Only about one in four base rookies sent to PSA comes back a 10.
