Brewers Fans Are Paying Up for Chourio Before the World Series

Jackson Chourio's first Bowman Chrome autograph went from around $1,050 in PSA 10 in August to two $1,600 sales after Milwaukee swept the Dodgers.

Milwaukee hasn't played in a World Series since 1982, when Robin Yount was the American League MVP, but collectors haven't gone back to his 1975 Topps rookie for this run. It makes sense, small market team for decades leaves just a handful of people who are OG Brewers fans and card collectors. PSA 5 copies sold around $79 in September before one went for $50 on Oct. 17. Turns out that the Brewers making the World Series again for the first time in over 4 decades doesn't help vintage baseball cards. That's not the case for ultra-modern baseball though.

Four Brewers are on my Top 10 baseball cards to buy list: Chourio, Christian Yelich, Jacob Misiorowski, and Yount.

Chourio's Bowman Chrome autograph is selling faster than it has since 2024

Chourio's autograph has sold 15 times in October, more than in any month since mid-2024. Polymarket gives Milwaukee a 63% chance to win the Series and has Chourio as the World Series MVP favorite at 14%.

I'd hold yours through the Series. I wouldn't pay $1,600 for one when three copies sold for under $1,350 in October. I'd bid $1,350.

Wait on Misiorowski's rookie card until after his Game 1 start

Misiorowski led baseball with a 1.80 ERA and 252 strikeouts this season, but he hasn't finished five innings in either of his playoff starts. CBS Sports found hitters missing on 40.2% of their swings at his fastball in the regular season and 16.1% in the playoffs.

His 2026 Topps rookie climbed over the summer, as our Oct. 16 wire reported. PSA 10 copies sold around $385 in August and have sold around $270 since the NLCS.

I'd wait until after his Game 1 start Friday. If another short start pushes a PSA 10 down toward $250, I'd buy there, because he's a 99% favorite on Polymarket to win the NL Cy Young when it's announced in November.

Robin Yount's 1975 Topps rookie is a cheap Brewers card to own before the Series

Yount went 12-for-29 in the 1982 World Series and is still the only player with two four-hit games in a single Series, even though Milwaukee lost to the Cardinals in seven games.

His 1975 Topps rookie has sold for $47 to $120 in PSA 5 all year. I'd bid $60 before Game 1 while it's still selling below its September price, because a first Brewers title would put the 1982 team back in every highlight package.

Junior Caminero's rookie is the Rays card to watch

After the Rays beat the Guardians in six games for the pennant, Polymarket has Caminero as their best bet for World Series MVP at 10%. Our Caminero wire tracked a PSA 10 of his 2024 Topps Chrome rookie selling for $118 on Oct. 19 after it went for about $37 last November.
